Reserving a copy is what pays for the pressing. When the campaign hits its goal, Label 51 takes care of the vinyl-ready master, the jacket printing and the pressing, and the finished run ships to one address. Vinyl takes about eight weeks at the plant once the campaign closes, then shipping. Your card is saved now and charged on closing day, and only if the goal was met — if it isn't, you're never charged.
Label 51 Recordings presses this record and promotes it across the label's social channels and its indie artist page. Nothing is signed over: the artist keeps their masters and the money these sales bring in. Label 51 is a working label with a catalog you can go and listen to, which is more than most crowdfunding pages can say.
